More than 1,600 law enforcement officers have died in the line of duty during the past 10 years, an average of one death every 53 hours or 166 per year. In-Vest USA is a not-for-profit grassroots organization whose sole mission is to make sure our law enforcement officers are protected with bullet-proof vests.
Many agencies either do not have the funds to issue them as standard equipment or rely on older, ill-fitting vests. It is estimated that more than 400,000 officers are not properly protected.
